Krousovitis river valley
Krousovitis river valley
The Krousovitis or Achladitis river originates from the area of Achladochori, at the southern foothills of Mount Orvilos.
It crosses the town of Sidirokastro and until it meets the waters of the Strymonas river, it forms a valley on the north-eastern side of the town with age-old plane trees, lush vegetation, caves, waterfalls and arched stone bridges.

Along the valley, within walking distance from the town of Sidirokastro, there are taverns, cafés and snack bars by the river that offer an oasis of relaxation, coolness and recreation.
